The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSSC) has recently announced that there are 6000 job openings available for the position of Constable in the Haryana Police Department. This includes 5000 positions for male candidates and 1000 positions for female candidates.

To apply for the vacancies, candidates will need to undergo a Physical Measurement Test where their height and chest measurements will be assessed. It is important to note that the PMT and PST Tests are only qualifying in nature, meaning that candidates who are taller than 6 feet or those who complete the race faster than the specified time will not receive extra marks. After these tests, a written exam will be conducted consisting of 100 questions, which is worth 94.5 marks. Also, candidates can earn 2.5 marks for socio-economic criteria and 3 marks for possessing an NCC certificate.
The candidates who have passed the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test will be invited to take a written test. The written test consists of 100 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The total marks for the exam is 94.5, with each correct answer earning 0.945 marks. The exam must be completed within 90 minutes.
