NICL AO 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for the NICL AO Recruitment 2024 will vary depending on the discipline. For Generalist posts, there will be two phases - Prelims and Mains, which will include objective tests and a descriptive test. Candidates will also have to go through an interview.

NICL AO Prelims Exam
For the NICL AO Prelims Exam, there will be 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and you will have 60 minutes (1 hour) to complete it. It's important to note that there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. Additionally, please be aware that the objective test will be bilingual, meaning it will be available in both English and Hindi, except for the "English Language" section.
The NICL AO 2024 Prelims Exam consists of three sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. In the English Language section, there are 30 questions worth 30 marks and the duration is 20 minutes. Similarly, in the Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude sections, there are 35 questions worth 35 marks each with a duration of 20 minutes for each section. The total number of questions in the exam is 100 with a total mark of 100 and the overall duration is 60 minutes.

In the mains exam, there will be a total of 250 multiple-choice questions for both Generalist and Specialist posts (except Hindi Officers). There will also be a descriptive test worth 30 marks. The Generalist posts will have 5 sections: Reasoning Ability, English Language, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude. However, for Specialist posts, there will be an additional test to evaluate technical and professional knowledge in their relevant field of expertise. The duration for the mains exam is 180 minutes.
