Prabhas, whose full name is Prabhas Raju Uppalapati, was born on October 23, 1979, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father's name is U. Suryanarayana Raju and his mother's name is Siva Kumari. Prabhas has two siblings, a brother named Pramod and a sister named Pragathi. He is the youngest among the three children. He completed his schooling at DNR school in Bhimavaram and obtained a B.Tech. Diploma from Sri Chaitanya College in Hyderabad.

Prabhas began his acting career in 2002 with a Telugu movie called "Eeswar." However, it was his role in the film "Varsham" in 2004 that gained him recognition as a talented actor. In 2015, he played the lead role in the action film "Baahubali: The Beginning," directed by S. S. Rajamouli. He then reprised his role in the sequel, "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion," which was released in 2017. These films became extremely successful and made Prabhas a popular actor across India.
