TN TRB SGT Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria


Candidates must complete Paper I of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) and meet other educational qualifications for the TN TRB Recruitment 2024:

  • At least 50% in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and a two-year Elementary Education Diploma (under any name); (or)
  • A minimum of 50% in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) are required; (or)
  • A 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree and at least 50% in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent); (or)
  • A 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (under whatever name it may be known) and Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% of the possible points in line with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002;
  • Graduation and a two-year elementary education diploma, under whatever name it may be called; and
  • Successfully completed Paper I of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET).

TN TRB Secondary Teacher Recruitment 2024 Application Fee and Age Limit


To apply for the examination, candidates must fill out the application form online and make a payment. Those who belong to categories such as SC/ST/SCA/Differently Abled Persons need to pay an examination fee of Rs. 300, while others have to pay Rs. 600.

If you belong to the General Category, you should make sure that you are no older than 53 years of age by July 1, 2024. However, if you belong to the SC/ST/SCA/Differently Abled Persons category, higher age limit of 58 years will be applicable.
