Akash Thapa: From Dance Floor to Stardom

Akash Thapa gained popularity through his appearances on various Hindi reality shows including Super Dancer and Dance Deewane. He was born on August 2004. He hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He schooled from Police Modern School for his education. Since childhood, Akash has had a passion for dancing.

He comes from a family with a military background, his father served in the Indian Army. He is the only son of Pradeep and Meena Thapa, who is a homemaker. Akash also has two sisters named Varsha and Megha Thapa. He is 19 years old.

When Akash was just 3 years old, he began imitating the dance moves of choreographer Dharmesh Yelande on TV. His passion for dance led him to participate in the reality show 'Super Dancer- season 2' in 2017, where he reached the top 4 with the help of his mentor Vivek. Akash's talent also landed him a role as a mentor on the popular show Dance Deewane. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall.

The second season of 'Super Dancer' aired on Sony Entertainment Television from September 30, 2017, to March 24, 2018. The judges for the season were Geeta Kapoor, Anurag Basu, and Shilpa Raj Kundra. The hosts for the season were Rithvik Dhanjani, Jay Bhanushali, and Paritosh Tripathi.

In 2022, Aakash appeared in the dance competition show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa- season 10' alongside Niti Taylor. He later appeared in a music video for the Hindi song 'Suroor Sa,' sung by Neeraj Shridhar. Hr made his acting debut in the popular Indian series 'Girls Hostel Season 3' which aired on SonyLIV. He has a net worth of around 1.2 crores.
