Eligibility Criteria
BPSC has released a notification for the recruitment of 318 Block Horticulture Officers in Bihar. Out of these vacancies, 110 are specifically reserved for women candidates.
Educational Qualification
- The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc in Horticulture Science) from a recognized Agriculture University.
- Candidates must also have done their graduation in Agriculture Science from a recognized Agriculture University.
Age Limit
To be eligible for the Bihar BHO Recruitment 2024, candidates must be at least 21 years old as of August 1, 2024. The maximum age limit varies based on gender and caste, for males it is 37 years, for females and backward classes it is 40 years, and for SC/ST candidates it is 42 years.
Application Fees
Candidates applying for the Bihar BHO program, you will need to pay an application fee of Rs. 750. Make sure to complete the payment before the deadline on March 21st, 2024.
Selection Process
The selection process established by the Bihar Public Service Commission involves conducting a Written Examination and then proceeding to an Interview round to determine the best candidates for the position.

Exam Pattern
The written examination consists of two papers, each lasting for 2 hours.
- Paper 1 will cover General Hindi & General Knowledge with 100 questions each.
- Paper II will focus on Horticulture and Agriculture Science with 200 questions each. The exam will have objective-type questions, and each subject will have a total duration of 2 hours.

Next, click on the link for 'Block Horticulture Officer Online Application' on the new page that appears. Then, proceed with new registration by filling out your name and contact details as required.
Once candidates submit the form, they will receive a password and registration number via email. Using this information, they can log in to the Dashboard.
From there, they can complete the application form and upload the necessary documents.
Now, they can proceed to pay application fee online. Once the fee is paid, they can submit the application by clicking on the 'Submit' button to complete their registration process.
