Kavya Maran is an Indian businesswoman who holds the position of CEO for the professional franchise cricket team Sunrisers Hyderabad. She is also involved with SUN music and FM channels of SUN TV. She is related to the late former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi, being his grand-nephew.

Kavya Maran was born on August 6, 1992, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to businessman Kalanithi Maran and joint managing director of Sun Group, Kaveri Maran. Her family has a strong presence in both the business and political spheres, with her grandfather Murasoli Maran having served as a Union Minister of Commerce and her uncle Dayanidhi Maran being India's textile minister.

Kavya got commerce degree from Stella Maris College in Chennai and an MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK. Her cousins, Karan Dayanidhi Maran and Divya Dayanidhi Maran, are the co-founders of K-kix Sneakers. Her aunts' names are Priya Maran and Anbukarasi Maran, the latter one is a cardiologist.

Kaviya's father, Kalanithi Maran, purchased the SunRisers Hyderabad franchise in 2013. Since then, Kaviya has been a dedicated attendee at the team's matches. In 2018, she was promoted to CEO of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Additionally, Kaviya serves as an executive director at Sun TV Network, where she manages operations for their music and radio channels. Kaviya Maran even sported the SunRisers Eastern Cape license at the SA20 Auction that happened in 2022.

She received an award for her role as the face and force behind Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Devi Awards in January 2024. She was estimated to be Rs. 300 crores. During the IPL seasons, netizens called her the ‘National Crush of India’. She is currently unmarried.
