During an interview, Manisha shared her challenging experiences in Kolkata, where she worked as a background dancer and waitress at weddings, earning a daily wage of Rs. 500. She recounted a time when she struggled to pay rent, which led her to work as a background dancer at events in villages around Kolkata to overcome her financial obstacles.
Manisha was hired by Monty to work at events where she noticed that the other dancers were dressed provocatively and performing explicit moves. But, she decided to uphold her values and refused to wear revealing clothing. After dancing for 10 days, she ultimately made the choice to go back to Kolkata.
Manisha found herself in a difficult situation when the manager of the hotel where she was staying refused to let her leave despite her request and locked her in a room. She managed to escape and reached out to her boyfriend for help. She asked him to provide her Rs. 500 so she could get back to Kolkata. Manisha collapsed when she arrived at the Kolkata railway station, where her boyfriend was waiting for her.
Manisha Rani made the decision to return to Munger, Bihar, following her time spent in Kolkata. She began creating and sharing videos on TikTok, which ultimately resulted in her being invited to events in Patna, Bihar. After her videos gained popularity, she was approached by the director of 'Gudiya Hamari Sabhi Pe Bhari' and offered a role in the TV serial, leading her to Mumbai for look tests. Manisha Rani successfully landed the role and dedicated two years to working on the show.
