Naman Dhir replaced Suryakumar Yadav in Mumbai Indians Vs Gujarat Titans

Naman Dhir had contributed to Punjab's victory in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2023 and shown his talent by scoring centuries against Saurashtra and Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy. His impressive performances earned him a spot in the playing XI for Hardik Pandya's team in their season opener against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 24th.

Naman Dhir Age

He was born on December 31, 1999 in Ambala, Haryana. He is a right hand batsman who later moved to Punjab to play for this state team. Dhir in 14 first-class matches, scoring a total of 574 runs with an average of 30.31. He has taken eight wickets in red-ball cricket at the domestic level.

In the 2024 IPL Auction, Mumbai Indians picked up Naman Dhir for the base price of INR 20 Lakhs. In this season, Hardik Pandya has also replaced Rohit Sharma as captain which caused huge uproar between the fans of Mumbai Indians. He is 24 years old.

Dhir, who was bowling off-spin for Gujarat Titans, finished his tenth over by conceding 13 runs. After Ishan Kishan being dismissed for a duck early on, Dhir hit three boundaries and a six off Azmatullah Omarzai's bowling. Unfortunately, his innings was cut short by Omarzai in the next over when he was given out lbw after a DRS review. He made 20 runs in 10 balls with the strike rate of 200.
