Eligibility Criteria

Junior Instructor (Engineering Trade and Maintenance Mechanic) Post Code – 01 to 13
- Candidates must have completed their Secondary with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as optional or equivalent examinations. (or)
- Secondary under the 10+2 scheme from a recognized Board or its equivalent examination. (and)
Technical
- B.Voc / Degree in the appropriate Branch of Engineering / Technology or equivalent from AICTE/UGC recognized University established by law in India and relevant National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in any of the variants under DGT (For those Trades where courses under CITS are available). (or)
- 3 years Diploma in an appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from any institute approved by AICTE. (or)
- 3 years Diploma in an appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology awarded by UGC recognised University established by law in India and relevant National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC). (or)
- National Trade Certificate in the relevant Trade and relevant National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in any of the variants under DGT. (or)
- National Apprenticeship Certificate in the relevant Trade and relevant National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in any of the variants under DGT.

- Secondary under the old scheme from a recognized Board or its equivalent examination. (or)

Technical
- B.Voc./ Degree in the relevant field or Equivalent from a recognized Institute/ UGC. (or)
- 3 or 2 years’ Diploma in the relevant field from any institute approved by AICTE and recognized by State Board of Technical Education and National Craft Instructor Certificate. (or)
- 3 or 2 years Diploma in the relevant field awarded by UGC recognized university established by law in India and National Craft Instructor Certificate in any of the variants under DGT (For those Trades where courses under CITS are available). (or)
- Relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from DGT and National Craft Instructor Certificate. (or)
- National Trade Certificate in the Trade concerned and relevant National Craft Instructor Certificate in any of the variants under DGT. (or)
- National Apprenticeship Certificate in Trade concern and relevant National Craft Instructor Certificate in any of the variants under DGT
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 21 years old but not older than 40 years old as of January 1, 2025. There are age relaxations available for certain categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and EWS (Male) by 5 years, female candidates by 5 years, and SC, ST, OBC, EWS (Female) by 10 years according to government rules.
Salary
The salary for Junior Instructors in 2024 will range from Rs. 73200 to Rs. 102800 per month as per the Level-10 Pay Matrix. In addition to the monthly salary, candidates will also receive allowances such as house rent allowance, dearness allowance, urban compensation allowance, and other benefits.
Application Fee
Candidates must pay the specified application fee. General category candidates must pay Rs. 600, while SC, ST EWS, and PDW candidates are required to pay Rs. 400.
