He started his international career in 2021
Ruturaj made his first appearance in domestic cricket during the 2014-15 season, where he impressed with his runs in the Cooch Behar trophy. Despite being the second-highest scorer of the season, his first-class debut for Maharashtra in the Ranji trophy was delayed due to a finger injury.
Ruturaj Gaikwad began his IPL journey with Chennai Super Kings in 2018 after being bought for Rs. 20 lakh. Despite not getting a chance to play in the 2018 season, CSK retained him for the 2020 season. Gaikwad finally made his debut on September 23, 2020, but unfortunately was declared out on the very first ball he faced against Rajasthan Royals. He played crucial innings in the 2021 season when he made 635 runs as CSK won the title.
