Vangaveeti Radha Krishna is a well-known Indian politician who hails from Andhra Pradesh. He is the son of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao who was also a prominent political figure in the region. Radha Krishna was born on November 3, 1979 in Penamalur, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. At 45 years old, he continues to follow in his father's footsteps as a member of the Indian National Congress party.

When Vangaveeti Radha Krishna was born, his parents named him after Ranga's brother who was killed in 1974. He has a sister named Vangaveeti Asha Kiran. He married Jakkam Pushpavalli from Narasapuram on 6 September 2023. Pushpavalli is the daughter of former Narasapuram municipal chairperson, Jakkam Ammani, and her father, Babji, is involved in Jana Sena.

His Political Journey


In 2004, Radha Krishna became a member of the Indian National Congress and successfully won the assembly elections in Vijayawada East Constituency against BJP candidate Jagan Mohan Raju of Eleshwara. However, in 2008 he switched to the Praja Rajyam Party and ran for re-election in 2009, but lost to Congress Party candidate Malladi Vishnu.

In 2014, he joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party and ran for the assembly elections on their ticket, but unfortunately lost to the TDP candidate. Later in 2019, he switched to the Telugu Desam Party, but was not selected as a candidate for the Vijayawada East Constituency in the 2019 elections.

In 2016, Radha Krishna filed a complaint against the filmmakers of the film "Vangaveeti". He said they made his father seem bad in the film.

In 2017, Radha Krishna and his mother protested in Vijayawada after derogatory remarks were made about Radha's father, Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, who was murdered. The controversy arose when YSRC Trade Union leader P Goutham Reddy compared Ranga to a snake in a TV interview. Radha and his mother, who were also part of YSRC, were upset by the comments and were arrested by the police to prevent further issues. Following their release, Reddy was suspended by the YSRC party.
