Arshdeep Singh is 24-year-old. He was born on February 5, 1999 in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, India to Darshan Singh and Baljit Kaur. He and his family relocated to their hometown of Kharar, Punjab when he was young. His father held a position as a Chief Security Officer at DCM while his mother took care of the household. Arshdeep has two siblings - an older brother who is working in Canada and an older sister named Gurleen Kaur.
He attended Guru Nanak Public School in Chandigarh and later joined Jaswant Rai's cricket academy in 2015. Following his schooling, Arshdeep dedicated himself to cricket and now resides in Kharar, Punjab. He is currently single.
Started his career from 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup
Arshdeep Singh began his cricketing journey by participating in the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand, where he played under the leadership of Prithvi Shaw. India won the tournament, defeating their opponents by 8 wickets. In 2019, Arshdeep Singh was initially included in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup squad but was eventually replaced by Shivam Mavi.
Arshdeep started his List A career in a match at Alur, Andhra Pradesh on September 19, 2018 during the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he impressively took two wickets against Himachal Pradesh. Following this success, he was selected to play in the Ranji Trophy held in Nagpur from December 25 to December 28, 2019, showcasing his talent and earning him further opportunities in the world of cricket.
In 2018, Arshdeep was chosen to play for Kings XI Punjab, now Punjab Kings in the IPL auctions for a base price of Rs. 20 lakhs. He made his IPL debut on April 16, 2019, in Mohali against Rajasthan Royals, where he took the wickets of Jos Buttler and Ajinkya Rahane. Since then, he is playing of this team.
Arshdeep Singh was chosen to be part of India's Twenty20 International squad for matches against South Africa and Ireland in 2022. He continued his success by being selected for the India team during the England Tour, where he made his T20I debut against England in July. He took two wickets against England in his debut match. He continued to shine during India's tour to the West Indies in 2022, where he took a total of 7 wickets and was awarded the 'Man of the Series' title.
He played his first One Day International (ODI) match against New Zealand in Auckland on 25 November 2022. He has not participated in any test matches so far. In the Indian Cricket Team, Arshdeep Singh wears the jersey number 2.
He has a net worth of around 10 crores. He is the brand ambassador of My11Circle Fantasy Cricket App along with other cricketers like Sourav Ganguly and Shubman Gill. In 2022, he was up for the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year Award. He owns a Toyota Fortuner SUV.
