The CSIR UGC NET June 2024 application form is currently live on the official website and will be accessible from May 1st to May 21st, 2024, until 11:50 pm. For those who miss the deadline, there is an option to submit the application form with a late fee until May 23rd, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. It is important for candidates to complete both the Registration and Application parts of the form and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before filling out their CSIR NET Application Form for 2024.

Important Dates


For the CSIR UGC NET June 2024 exam, candidates can access the application form on the official website starting from 1st May 2024 until 21st May 2024 at 11:50 pm. There is also an option to submit the application with a late fee by 23rd May 2024 at 11:59 p.m. The application process consists of two parts - Registration and Application. Eligibility Criteria


Educational Qualification


To apply for the fellowship, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline and must be enrolled in or have completed a PhD or Integrated PhD program within two years. Candidates who are enrolled in or have completed an M.Sc. program or have completed 10+2+3 years of education are also eligible to apply under the 'Result Awaited' category.

Age Limit


As of June 1st, 2024, individuals applying for the JRF must be under the age of 30. However, there is no age limit for those applying for Assistant Professor positions or seeking admission to a PhD program.

Application Fee


This year, NTA has updated the application fee for different categories. For EWS/OBC – Non-creamy layer and SC/ST/Third Gender, the fee is now Rs. 325/-. General candidates will still pay Rs. 1100/-. The fee must be paid online before submitting the application form and cannot be refunded once paid. Also, the CSIR NET application fee is Rs. 1100/- for General category, Rs. 600/- for EWS/OBC – Non-creamy layer, Rs. 325/- for SC/ST/Third Gender, and Nil for PwD category.

CSIR NET 2024 Exam Pattern


The CSIR NET Exam Pattern for 2024 is important for understanding the structure of the exam. The CSIR NET Question Paper for 2024 will have three sections - Part A, B, and C. Part A will consist of General Aptitude questions with a maximum of 20 questions. Candidates need to answer 15 questions, each carrying two marks, out of the total 30 marks allocated to this section.

The CSIR NET Part A consists of General Aptitude questions that assess the candidates’ teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension skills, divergent thinking and general awareness

The CSIR NET Part B and C include questions related to Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

The exam lasts for three hours without any breaks between the different parts and is worth 200 marks. There is a negative marking of 25% (33% for some parts) for each incorrect answer. The exam pattern for CSIR NET 2024 differs for each of the five subjects.
