The Meghalaya Police Department has announced the dates for online registration for Meghalaya Police Recruitment and provided a Notification pdf for reference. The registration process has already begun and will continue until May 31st, 2024. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline.

There are a total of 76 vacancies for UB Sub Inspector (UBSI) posts, 1494 vacancies for Armed Branch Constable/Battalion Constable/MPRO GD/Constable Handyman, and 720 vacancies for Unarmed Branch Constable posts.
Eligibility Criteria
When applying for a position with Meghalaya Police Vacancy 2024, the eligibility of candidates will be determined based on factors such as age, educational background, and physical measurements. Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the posts of UB Sub Inspector, candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any stream.
For the post of MPRO Operator, candidates must have completed their class 12th (10+2). Candidates applying for the positions of Fireman Driver, Fireman Unarmed Branch Constable, Fireman Mechanic/Mechanic Signal/BN Operator, and Armed Branch Constable/Battalion Constable/Constable Handyman must have passed their class 9th. Those applying for the posts of Driver Constable & Driver Fireman must have an HMV/LMV driving license.
Physical Measurements
For male candidates in the general category, the height should be 162 cm; for females in the general category, it should be 157 cm. Male candidates from ST/SC/OST backgrounds should be 157 cm tall, while female candidates from those backgrounds should be 152 cm tall. Additionally, all candidates must have passed their class 9th exam.
Age Limit
To be eligible for the UB Sub Inspector (UBSI) posts in Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024, candidates must be between 21 and 27 years old as of January 1, 2024. However, the age requirements for other positions may differ.
Selection Process
There will be three-stage selection process. The first stage includes a physical efficiency or physical measurement test to evaluate the candidate's fitness. Those who pass this stage move on to the written examination and finally successful candidates from that step proceed to a personal interview. The process aims to ensure that only eligible and capable individuals are selected for the available positions.
Salary Structure
For the UB Sub-Inspector posts, individuals receive a monthly pay ranging from Rs. 37,800 to Rs. 86,400 along with additional perks and benefits. The MPRO Operator position offers a salary between Rs. 22,200 to Rs. 52,400. Various other positions such as Fireman Driver, Fireman Unarmed Branch Constable, and Fireman Mechanic also offer competitive salaries based on different pay levels for Matriculates and Non-Matriculates.

Then, they need to navigate to the 'Notice Board' tab on the homepage and select the 'Recruitment' section from the drop-down menu.
Next, click on the 'Online Application- Recruitment 2024 Process' link to access the application form and follow the step-by-step instructions provided to complete the application process.
Click on the online application link provided on the screen. Register yourself by entering your name, mobile number, and other required details. Upload necessary documents like photographs and identity certificates. Fill out all relevant fields in the registration form. Verify your mobile number by entering the OTP sent to you.
Now that candidates have been verified, they should proceed by clicking on the 'Apply for a new posts tab' and selecting the specific posts they wish to apply for.
They can choose multiple posts if desired. After selecting the posts, they must pay the necessary application fee through the payment gateway. Once this step is completed, their online registration process is finished.
