Education Qualification
Those who have completed the GNM Nursing course or hold a BSc/MSc Nursing Degree from a recognized institution in India are eligible for Staff Nurse positions. These qualifications are necessary for candidates applying for nursing roles within the railway industry.
Age Limit
To apply for the position of Nursing Officer with Indian Railways, candidates must be between 20 and 43 years old as of January 1, 2025. Those outside of this age range are ineligible to fill out the RRB Nursing Officer Application Form for 2024. Reserved category candidates may be eligible for age relaxations.
Medical Standards
The medical standard required for the position is C1, which includes criteria such as having a distance vision of 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses, and a near vision of Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or doing close work.
Application Fees
Candidates must pay an application fee based on their category. General/OBC candidates need to pay Rs. 500, while reserved categories are asked to pay Rs. 250.
Salary
Candidates who pass both stages will be appointed as Nursing Officers in Indian Railways. They will start with a salary of Rs. 44,900/- and also receive benefits such as Dearness Allowance, House Rental Allowance, Transport Allowance, and other perks.
