The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (AP SET 2024) will be conducted by Visakhapatnam. This exam is for postgraduate students who want to become Assistant Professors and Lecturers in state government colleges/universities. The exam follows the pattern of the National Eligibility Test (CSIR/UGC-NET) and will be conducted in offline mode. AP TET 2024 Notification


The official notification will be released on 12th February 2024. You can start applying online from 14th February 2024. The last date to submit your applications is 06th March 2024, and the last date to pay the application fee is also 06th March 2024. The AP SET Exam will take place on 28th April 2024, which falls on a Sunday.

AP SET 2024 Eligibility Criteria


To be eligible to take the AP SET 2024, candidates must have completed their Post Graduation or Master's Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks. However, for reserved categories, the minimum passing percentage is 50%. There is no age limit for appearing in the AP SET Exam.

AP TET 2024 Age Limit


To be eligible for the AP Teacher Eligibility Test 2024, you need to be at least 18 years old. The Department of School Education in Andhra Pradesh has set this requirement. There is no maximum age limit for any category of candidates.


AP TET 2024 Application Fee


To take part in AP TET 2024 for either Paper 1 or 2, you need to make a payment of 750 rupees through the given payment gateway. This applies to everyone, regardless of their category, such as General, Other Backward Class, Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Physically Handicapped or any other.

Paper I consists of two parts - Part A and Part B. The exam is conducted in CBT mode and has a duration of 150 minutes. Each paper contains 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The sections in Paper I include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Odia), Language II (English), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. The total marks for the exam are 150 and the marking scheme is +1 mark for each correct answer. The medium of the exam is English, except for Sanskrit where candidates can choose their preferred Language-I.

Paper 2 is divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. Each part contains 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). In Paper 2, there are different sections such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (which can be Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Odia, or Sanskrit), Language II (which is English), and either Mathematics & Science or Social Studies for regular schools (Part A) or Specialization and Pedagogy for special schools (Part B). The total marks for the exam are 150 and the marking scheme is +1 mark for each correct answer. The medium of the exam is English, except for Sanskrit where candidates can choose their preferred language as Language-I.
